Great for edge and trim, just as designed

Super premium design: nice weight to it, the shape and material of the rubber grip feels brilliant, perfect fit and finish, and top quality materials were used in the construction. It looks and feels way more expensive than its asking price. Industrial design and build quality is all just as you'd expect from a company like Braun.I feel like it's perfect for, and could be your main or only razor, if you're anything like the fella in the marketing shots - i.e. short and sculpted beard and/or stubble. If you normally go for an all-over close shave, it'll do it in a pinch, but it's not really intended for that; more of a purpose-built and much better version of the little pop-up trimmer that many foil or rotary electric razors typically have. For me it's been a brilliant for trimming and tidying up sideburns, unruly back of neck and that kind of thing. I think it'd also be ideal for getting rid of the main bulk of a longer beard (which foil and rotary shavers just can't really bite into), and then if you wanted, finish off with something designed for a close shave.Other minor points just worth a brief mention: the manual talks about some accessories that aren't included - a 2mm comb, two 'body combs' (0mm and 3mm), and a protective cap. So it seems that at least as-is, it's not necessarily intended to double up as a body shaver. Not sure if these accessories can be purchased separately, were ditched as part of last minute changes, or if they perhaps plan on doing some kind of 'Stylemaster Pro/Body' SKU later on, with different accessories. No lock-out mechanism for travel, though the power button is well recessed, and requires a firm push to activate. Battery life: been using it for about a week and have yet to unwrap the charger, it's still going strong on the initial charge it came with in the box.

Great for a close shave, less so for trimming a beard to a certain length

I've been looking for a new shaver since my current trimmer started occasionally nicking me. On getting the product out the box, I was really impressed by how smooth and sleek the shaver head was. The shaver is extremely straightforward to use (easy clip on heads, easy charge, one on/off switch). The shaver head was also really flexible with the swivel action, but as soon as any of the length heads were attached, this swivel was severely reduced.When I first used the product, I tried it with the 1mm head, but found that it didn't really take much off from my beard. I tried without any heads but got an incredibly close shave (which is great if you want that, but I was after a stubbly look). I've tried again a week later and have got a pretty patchy finish, so I don't think this is really working for me.

Really love this trimmer!

I’m a big fan of this product’s minimalist design and have found it a real pleasure to use over the last few days, since making my purchase. A 45 minute battery life is okay, but the rest of the trimmer’s features really make up for that. It’s very easy to use and feels great to shave with. I’m delighted with it, to be honest.

Excellent beard trimmer / styler

My usual saving habits consist of 2-3 beard trims a week using a trimmer to about 2-3 mm.For a significant amount of years I have been using a Philips OneBlade, for a number of reasons: It was a simple and easy to use including design, easy to maintain and ultimately served my needs well. I have therefor found these qualities hard to match in any other product until now. I was fortunate enough to try the new Style Master from King C. Initial impressions prior to using were good. It felt well constructed and robust, including the blade itself. The style / length attachments are well designed and not only fit well, but seem significantly more durable than the ones offered with the OneBlade system, which is an important element for me in particular. The cut itself was excellent and almost effortless and took significantly less time and effort than that provided by my existing saver. The cut was nice and clean, effortless and quick. With the cleaning afterwards being incredibly easy. The styling function (without comb) was just as good, offering a clean cut with minimal effort. Despite sticking to OneBlade for so many years and finding anything that came close in terms of simplicity, cut, maintenance, I'm now in the position where I have found a worthy replacement and will now be using this as my main shaver. One of my hopes is that the replacement blades will be reasonable in cost and comparable to my current blade cost / replacement regime. Although the product is new, I found it hard to find the cost of replacement blades to offer this comparison as part of my review. However, from using the shaver a few times now already, I can already tell that the blades are more robust and appear likely to last longer. Its also worth noting that the blades also appear significantly better made than the OneBlade with parts being made of more durable material and less likely to fail which has been the case historically. Having already noted that the trimmer combs are an important factor for me, I can already tell that the Style Master ones and far less irritating, more solid in construction, hold the shaver head well and therefor less likely to fail. Again this was one thing ive had difficulty with when using any beard trimmer, with some combs not being ergonomic, irritating, not very secure and also very flimsy in design which usually leads in failure with replacement ones costing a 1/3 of a full shaver set (with Extra Blades), so I hope, if a comb does ever fail for whatever reason, then a replacement is a reasonable cost.

A nice trimmer

Have been using this for a about two weeks and has been good in giving a quick trim or tidy up. The different size adjusters are easy to clip on and clean. Also the battery life is good. If you are looking for a clean shave look this probably is the best and more suited to trims and tidy up

An Excellent Trimmer

I was pleasantly surprised by how small and light the trimmer was when it first arrived. I have tested the product both wet and dry and I found that there was less irritation and a closer finish with a wet shave, although both results were great.
