issues

just got kit today. maybe my product is faulty, but it seems as though the power button is stuck. i’ve charged it fully, the power switch won’t move.

Charge time and battery life are atrocious. A 10 hour(!) charge gives nothing approaching the promised 50 minutes use, more like 15 absolute max. From a full charge you can feel it losing it’s power and effectiveness after only a few minutes. In practical terms this means that you can barely get through 1 trim without it starting to catch and pull hair. You’ll have to speed & hurry to get through even the briefest or brief trims comfortably, want to take care / time for a bit of neat sculpting? Forget it Oh, and when your trim is finished? You’ll need to put it back on charge immediately. For 10 hours. After each and every single use. It’s also surprising easy to accidentally change the grade whilst in use which is something of a huge design flaw. The lack of carry case/pouch/stand, the lack of a UK plug and the fact that you can’t even use it whilst on charge are all big negatives too. It comes in quite a nice box and the ‘King C’ branding is cool, if only as much effort had been put into what’s inside the box. All in all a really really poor product from Gillette. I would return it for a refund but unfortunately I lost the receipt. Bin it is

Arrived but totally disappointed with it as this only come with a 2 pin plug so now have to go out and get a normal power adapted for it

Bad battery life

Not sure if my product is faulty but the battery life seems to be impressively bad for an electronic product nowadays. It takes ages to charge and then runs out relatively quickly. It's maddening. Everything else seems fine.

Extremely disappointing!

The combs, style and grip are great which is why I selected it. But, as others have mentioned, it's a 2 prong plug (not even a typical one), which means buying a 'shaving adapter' which is an unstated added cost which has no other purpose. The battery life is awful. It takes forever to charge the tiniest bit and runs out super quickly, leaving you half-shaven, waiting around the house for hours for it to charge. It doesn't even run while its plugged in! Which I have to say is the only electrical item I have ever come across to do that. So even if you did have a 2 prong plug in the bathroom like a hotel room it would be entirely useless. The different length settings of the combs run at odd 2mm intervals like 3,5,7 so pretty well everyone would have to change their regular length to something new as other trimmers I've owned have gone up in 0.5mm intervals. No brush to clean the blades, no bag to keep the parts. Maddening, frustrating, perplexing. Very little good to say about this product.

This is not the best electric razor by a long way. Hurts my skin when shaving a really poor razor.  Getting two lads from Corrie and emmerdale to help promote makes it even worse.

Good but patchy shave for minimal stubble

The trimmer is robust with a range of trim length combs. That said, my unit delivered an inconsistent trim using the finest stubble comb. This could be an issue with the trimmer head and a replacement unit has been agreed, when raised with customer services.

Solid construction, powerful action, nice cutting. Only used without combs so far, so cannot review those. It would have had 5 stars but for two issues: 1. Charger has a two pin shaver socket plug, so you may need an adaptor 2. Does not come with that ubiquitous little bottle of beard trimmer oil essential to maintain your trimmer
