How do I use the Gillette STYLER/Gillette Fusion5™ ProGlide STYLER?
Attach or remove a comb/shaving clip: To attach, insert it at 90 degrees than pivot and click. To remove, slide the release button forward. To trim:
If you are using the STYLER for the first time it’s best to use a longer trimming comb which gives you more control. Comb your facial hair in the direction it naturally grows. Trim against the direction of hair growth
. To Shave:
To attach the shaving clip, insert at a 90⁰ angle to the handle, then pivot it until it clicks into place. The shaving clip can be used with or without the power function. Using light strokes, shave the cheeks, sides of face and neck first. For a comfortable shave, shave in the direction of the hair growth. For a close shave, shave against the direction of hair growth. Only shave in one direction, not both. Rinse the razor frequently to prevent a build-up of hair on the blades and in the cartridge. Shave the chin and upper lip last. Having the shaving foam, gel or cream
on these areas for longer will have helped to soften tough whiskers. To Edge:
Use the precision edging blade
on the back of the STYLER to accurately sculpt and define lines. Be cautious as you create your style – once it’s off, it’s off
. Be sure to consider the shape of your face as you style. Carefully designed facial hair can enhance or mask certain features, so try different looks
to find out what works best for you. How do I clean Gillette STYLER?
Cartridge: Rinse and pat dry after each use. Handle:

a. Open trimmer door by pressing firmly against the trimmer teeth.
b. Rinse the teeth under warm running water.
c. Pat dry. Tip:
• If the STYLER loses power/stops working and changing the battery doesn't help, it's possible the device is clogged with shaving debris and needs to be cleaned. How do I change the battery in the Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide STYLER?
It is time to remove the battery when vibration slows or ceases. Do not leave a depleted battery in the device. You should always replace batteries in a dry environment. The battery compartment is in the lower half of the handle.
• Holding both ends of the handle, simply twist the lower half anti-clockwise.
• Remove the lower half of the handle to expose the battery in its housing.
• The battery should just pop out of the housing.
• Replace with a new AA battery – insert with the positive + end first.
Once the battery clicks into its housing, replace the lower half of the handle and screw clockwise to close. When screwed on tightly, the markings on the lower half of the handle should line up perfectly with those on the top half. Caution:
Always insert the AA Alkaline battery (e.g. Duracell) correctly, and do not short circuit (positive end + first). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. What’s the microchip and how does it work?
A battery-powered razor delivers an optimal shave when the voltage and frequency remain consistent, shave after shave. Over the lifetime of the battery, the voltage can weaken, reducing frequency and therefore performance. The microchip maintains constant voltage and frequency over the lifetime of the battery, delivering consistent product performance every time you shave. How does movement of the razor give men a better shave?
Micropulses help the Power razor’s blades move effortlessly. For best results, should the power be turned on or off when using the Precision Trimmer?
The Precision Trimmer can be used with the power turned on or off. Using the Precision Trimmer with or without power is an individual choice. What type of battery does Gillette STYLER use?
Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power uses a AA battery. How long will the Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power razor blade refill last?
How long a razor blade refill lasts is dependent on many variables such as beard toughness and thickness, beard preparation, shaving habits, and skin sensitivity. The Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power's reformulated Indicator® Lubricating Strip
(vs. Fusion5) will provide you with a visual cue—it fades to white—when optimal shave conditions have been reduced. When this happens, you might want to consider changing your razor blades to get an optimal shave. Will Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power razor blade refills fit any other Gillette razors?
Yes, all Fusion5 blades fit all Fusion5 and Fusion5 Power razors
